STANDING ORDER
To
All Ground Water Officers,
Subject: The treatment of sewage by operators of a sewage treatment plant under the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002 (Kerala Act 19 of 2002), the Water Resources Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the treatment of sewage by operators of a sewage treatment plant.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a sewage treatment plant carrying on the treatment of sewage shall make an application in Form G to the Tribunal within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. The Ground Water Officer shall ensure that dam is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tribunal within twenty-one days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Kerala.
