OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The provision of security services in a cantonment by operators of a private security service in a cantonment under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the provision of security services in a cantonment by operators of a private security service in a cantonment is to be regulated under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a private security service in a cantonment carrying on the provision of security services in a cantonment shall make an application in Form A to the Government of Karnataka within three days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the provision of security services in a cantonment is undertaken, and the Government of Karnataka shall dispose of it within three days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Karnataka.
