OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The collection of contributions as an agent by agents for collection of contributions under the Kerala Headload Workers Act, 1978, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Law Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the collection of contributions as an agent by agents for collection of contributions is to be regulated under the Kerala Headload Workers Act, 1978.

2. The matter has been examined. Every agent for collection of contributions carrying on the collection of contributions as an agent shall make an application in Form 9 to the Medical Benefit Council within forty-two days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the collection of contributions as an agent is undertaken, and the Medical Benefit Council shall dispose of it within forty-two days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Kerala.
