OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of defence land on lease by lessees of defence land under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the holding of defence land on lease by lessees of defence land is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of defence land carrying on the holding of defence land on lease shall make an application in Form A to the Station Commander within three days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of defence land on lease is undertaken, and the Station Commander shall dispose of it within three days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
