STANDING ORDER

To

All Insurance Medical Officers,

Subject: The receipt of benefits as a nominee by nominees of an insured person under the Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and Other Manual Workers Act, 1969, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and Other Manual Workers Act, 1969 (Maharashtra Act 30 of 1969), the Labour Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the receipt of benefits as a nominee by nominees of an insured person.

2. The matter has been examined. Every nominee of an insured person carrying on the receipt of benefits as a nominee shall make an application in Form 6 to the Standing Committee within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Insurance Medical Officer shall ensure that declaration form is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Standing Committee within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Maharashtra.
