OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form 3 to the Zila Parishad within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a ferry is undertaken, and the Zila Parishad shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
