STANDING ORDER

All Tahsildars,

Subject: The holding of land by landholders under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959 (Odisha Act 3 of 1959), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land by landholders.

2. The matter has been examined. Every landholder carrying on the holding of land shall make an application in Form 5 to the Board of Revenue within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Tahsildar shall ensure that demand notice is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha.
