STANDING ORDER

All Branch Managers,

Subject: The collection of contributions as an agent by agents for collection of contributions under the Kerala Headload Workers Act, 1978, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Headload Workers Act, 1978 (Kerala Act 20 of 1978), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the collection of contributions as an agent by agents for collection of contributions.

2. The matter has been examined. Every agent for collection of contributions carrying on the collection of contributions as an agent shall make an application in Form 6 to the Corporation within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Branch Manager shall ensure that wage record is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Corporation within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Kerala.
