STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Commissioners,

Subject: The reservation of posts by employers under the reservation scheme under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 45 of 1994), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the reservation of posts by employers under the reservation scheme.

2. The matter has been examined. Every employer under the reservation scheme carrying on the reservation of posts shall make an application in Form II to the Commission within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Assistant Commissioner shall ensure that grievance is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commission within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
