STANDING ORDER

All Anganwadi Supervisors,

Subject: The placement of children in adoption by specialised adoption agencies under the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1982 (Karnataka Act 1 of 1982), the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the placement of children in adoption by specialised adoption agencies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every specialised adoption agency carrying on the placement of children in adoption shall make an application in Form VII to the Commission within three days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Anganwadi Supervisor shall ensure that report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commission within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
