STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Registrar of Societies,

Subject: The administration of a temple by executives officer of a temple under the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987 (Andhra Pradesh Act 30 of 1987), the Transport Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the administration of a temple by executives officer of a temple.

2. The matter has been examined. Every executive officer of a temple carrying on the administration of a temple shall make an application in Form A to the Waqf Tribunal within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Assistant Registrar of Societies shall ensure that donation receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Waqf Tribunal within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
