CIRCULAR
To
All Wireless Monitoring Officers,
Subject: Dealing in wireless equipment by dealers in wireless equipment under the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997 (24 of 1997), the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India hereby issues the following
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to dealing in wireless equipment by dealers in wireless equipment.
2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in wireless equipment carrying on dealing in wireless equipment shall make an application in Form H to the Universal Service Obligation Fund within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which dealing in wireless equipment is undertaken, and the Universal Service Obligation Fund shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this circular may be brought to the notice of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
