OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of a children's home by operators of a children's home under the Goa Children's Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which the running of a children's home by operators of a children's home is to be regulated under the Goa Children's Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a children's home carrying on the running of a children's home shall make an application in Form II to the Local Complaints Committee within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a children's home is undertaken, and the Local Complaints Committee shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Goa.
