OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The treatment of sewage by operators of a sewage treatment plant under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Rajasthan on the manner in which the treatment of sewage by operators of a sewage treatment plant is to be regulated under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a sewage treatment plant carrying on the treatment of sewage shall make an application in Form F to the Government of Rajasthan within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the treatment of sewage is undertaken, and the Government of Rajasthan shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Rajasthan.
