STANDING ORDER

To

All Agricultural Officers,

Subject: The raising of plants in a nursery by nursery growers under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961 (Punjab Act 23 of 1961), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the raising of plants in a nursery by nursery growers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every nursery grower carrying on the raising of plants in a nursery shall make an application in Form H to the Registrar within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Agricultural Officer shall ensure that planting material is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Punjab.
