STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Collectors,

Subject: The holding of a mass gathering by organisers of a mass gathering under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of a mass gathering by organisers of a mass gathering.

2. The matter has been examined. Every organiser of a mass gathering carrying on the holding of a mass gathering shall make an application in Form F to the Relief Commissioner within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Collector shall ensure that shelter is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Relief Commissioner within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat.
