PRESS NOTE
Subject: The development of a Special Economic Zone by developers under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010, regarding.
1. The Central Government has reviewed the policy on the development of a Special Economic Zone and has decided as follows.
2. Every developer carrying on the development of a Special Economic Zone may do so subject to the conditions set out in the annexure, and the Export Promotion Council shall be informed in Form ANF-5A within forty-five days.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the development of a Special Economic Zone is undertaken, and the Export Promotion Council shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this press note may be brought to the notice of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.
