STANDING ORDER
To
All Fire Officers,
Subject: The safety of a school building by owners of a school building under the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985 (Tamil Nadu Act 11 of 1985), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the safety of a school building by owners of a school building.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a school building carrying on the safety of a school building shall make an application in Form F to the State Executive Committee within one day, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. The Fire Officer shall ensure that hazard map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Executive Committee within one day.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
