STANDING ORDER

To

All Insecticide Inspectors,

Subject: The storage of agricultural produce by licensees of a warehouse under the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1961 (Maharashtra Act 24 of 1961), the Agriculture Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the storage of agricultural produce by licensees of a warehouse.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a warehouse carrying on the storage of agricultural produce shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Maharashtra within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Insecticide Inspector shall ensure that produce is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Maharashtra within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Maharashtra.
