New Delhi, dated the 15th March, 2012

STANDING ORDER

All Excise Inspectors,

Subject: The wholesale vend of liquor by wholesale vendors under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the wholesale vend of liquor by wholesale vendors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every wholesale vendor carrying on the wholesale vend of liquor shall make an application in Form E to the Excise Appellate Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Inspector shall ensure that cask is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Excise Appellate Authority within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
