STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Press Registrars,

Subject: The publication of a periodical by publishers under the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 23 of 1964), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the publication of a periodical by publishers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every publisher carrying on the publication of a periodical shall make an application in Form V to the Board of Film Certification within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Press Registrar shall ensure that periodical is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Film Certification within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Karnataka.
