STANDING ORDER

To

All Junior Engineers,

Subject: The operation of a water supply scheme by operators of a water supply scheme under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 21 of 1954), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a water supply scheme by operators of a water supply scheme.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a water supply scheme carrying on the operation of a water supply scheme shall make an application in Form A to the Dam Safety Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Junior Engineer shall ensure that dispute is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Dam Safety Authority within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Rajasthan.
