OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use by person converting agricultural lands under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Ports Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh on the manner in which the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use by person converting agricultural lands is to be regulated under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person converting agricultural land carrying on the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use shall make an application in Form 2 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use is undertaken, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
