OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The removal of earth from Government land by persons removing earth from Government land under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Odisha on the manner in which the removal of earth from Government land by persons removing earth from Government land is to be regulated under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person removing earth from Government land carrying on the removal of earth from Government land shall make an application in Form 14 to the Board of Revenue within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the removal of earth from Government land is undertaken, and the Board of Revenue shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Odisha.
