OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Fishing in a village tank by lessees of a village fishery under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Rajasthan on the manner in which fishing in a village tank by lessees of a village fishery is to be regulated under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of a village fishery carrying on fishing in a village tank shall make an application in Form 3 to the District Panchayat within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which fishing in a village tank is undertaken, and the District Panchayat shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Rajasthan.
