STANDING ORDER

To

All Survey Commissioners,

Subject: The performance of rituals in a temple by archakas under the Madhya Pradesh Public Trusts Act, 1951, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Public Trusts Act, 1951 (Madhya Pradesh Act 30 of 1951), the General Administration Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the performance of rituals in a temple by archakas.

2. The matter has been examined. Every archaka carrying on the performance of rituals in a temple shall make an application in Form G to the Deputy Charity Commissioner within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Survey Commissioner shall ensure that account is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Deputy Charity Commissioner within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
