STANDING ORDER

All Assistant Rent Controllers,

Subject: The sub-letting of premises by sub-tenants under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972 (Uttar Pradesh Act 13 of 1972), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sub-letting of premises by sub-tenants.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sub-tenant carrying on the sub-letting of premises shall make an application in Form F to the Rent Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Rent Controller shall ensure that agreement for sale is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Rent Authority within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
