STANDING ORDER

All Patwaris,

Subject: The grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land under the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955 (Tamil Nadu Act 25 of 1955), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every grazier on Government waste land carrying on the grazing of cattle on Government waste land shall make an application in Form 14 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Patwari shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
