STANDING ORDER

To

All Divisional Canal Officers,

Subject: The bottling of water by bottlers of water under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 21 of 1954), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the bottling of water by bottlers of water.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bottler of water carrying on the bottling of water shall make an application in Form C to the Dam Safety Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Divisional Canal Officer shall ensure that sample of water is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Dam Safety Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Rajasthan.
