OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh on the manner in which the occupation of land by occupants is to be regulated under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974.
2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 5 to the State Government within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the occupation of land is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
