OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The disbursement of scholarships by scholarship disbursing institutions under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Social Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the disbursement of scholarships by scholarship disbursing institutions is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats) Act, 1994.
2. The matter has been examined. Every scholarship disbursing institution carrying on the disbursement of scholarships shall make an application in Form VII to the Government of Tamil Nadu within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the disbursement of scholarships is undertaken, and the Government of Tamil Nadu shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
