STANDING ORDER

To

All Child Development Project Officers,

Subject: The running of a school by schools under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988 (Andhra Pradesh Act 10 of 1988), the Labour Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a school by schools.

2. The matter has been examined. Every school carrying on the running of a school shall make an application in Form V to the District Magistrate within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Child Development Project Officer shall ensure that institution is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Magistrate within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
