OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The maintenance of a housing complex by facility management agencies under the Maharashtra Rent Control Act, 1999, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the maintenance of a housing complex by facility management agencies is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Rent Control Act, 1999.

2. The matter has been examined. Every facility management agency carrying on the maintenance of a housing complex shall make an application in Form C to the Adjudicating Officer within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the maintenance of a housing complex is undertaken, and the Adjudicating Officer shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Maharashtra.
