OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The cultivation of land by farmers under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the cultivation of land by farmers is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987.

2. The matter has been examined. Every farmer carrying on the cultivation of land shall make an application in Form A to the Board within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land is undertaken, and the Board shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
