OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of Government bonds by holders of a Government bond under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the holding of Government bonds by holders of a Government bond is to be regulated under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of a Government bond carrying on the holding of Government bonds shall make an application in Form GFR 21 to the Accountant General within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of Government bonds is undertaken, and the Accountant General shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat.
