OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly under the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a place of public assembly carrying on the fire safety of a place of public assembly shall make an application in Form A to the National Executive Committee within one day, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the fire safety of a place of public assembly is undertaken, and the National Executive Committee shall dispose of it within one day of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
