STANDING ORDER

To

All Station Fire Officers,

Subject: The preparedness of a hospital for emergencies by operators of a hospital under the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 28 of 1964), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies by operators of a hospital.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a hospital carrying on the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies shall make an application in Form E to the Civil Defence Controller within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Station Fire Officer shall ensure that incident report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Civil Defence Controller within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka.
