STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Registrar of Societies,

Subject: The management of a gurdwara by committees of a gurdwara under the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987 (Andhra Pradesh Act 30 of 1987), the Law Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of a gurdwara by committees of a gurdwara.

2. The matter has been examined. Every committee of a gurdwara carrying on the management of a gurdwara shall make an application in Form F to the Board within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Registrar of Societies shall ensure that trust is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
