OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which the holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling is to be regulated under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land in excess of the ceiling carrying on the holding of land in excess of the ceiling shall make an application in Form 1 to the Board of Revenue within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land in excess of the ceiling is undertaken, and the Board of Revenue shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa.
