OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The management of a museum by curators of a museum under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Excise Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the management of a museum by curators of a museum is to be regulated under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005.
2. The matter has been examined. Every curator of a museum carrying on the management of a museum shall make an application in Form III to the Director of Tourism within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of a museum is undertaken, and the Director of Tourism shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Kerala.
