STANDING ORDER

To

All Building Inspectors,

Subject: The running of a private market by operators of a private market under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1976), the Urban Development Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a private market by operators of a private market.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a private market carrying on the running of a private market shall make an application in Form D to the Town Vending Committee within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Building Inspector shall ensure that vending certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Vending Committee within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Gujarat.
