STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The cultivation of land as tenant by tenants under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Agriculture Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the cultivation of land as tenant by tenants.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall make an application in Form 3 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that land revenue receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
