STANDING ORDER
To
All Circles Inspector of Excise,
Subject: The manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit under the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 (Punjab Act 1 of 1914), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit.
2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of denatured spirit carrying on the manufacture of denatured spirit shall make an application in Form B to the Excise Commissioner within ten days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.
3. The Circle Inspector of Excise shall ensure that label is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Excise Commissioner within ten days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Punjab.
