STANDING ORDER
To
All Tahsildars,
Subject: The holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973 (Puducherry Act 9 of 1973), the Finance Department, Government of Puducherry hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land.
2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Collector within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.
3. The Tahsildar shall ensure that map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Puducherry.
