STANDING ORDER

To

All Estate Officers,

Subject: The purchase of an apartment by allottees under the Karnataka Apartment Ownership Act, 1972, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Apartment Ownership Act, 1972 (Karnataka Act 17 of 1972), the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the purchase of an apartment by allottees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee carrying on the purchase of an apartment shall make an application in Form G to the Rent Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Estate Officer shall ensure that project is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Rent Authority within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka.
