STANDING ORDER

To

All Circles Inspector of Excise,

Subject: The working of a winery by licensees of a winery under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915 (Madhya Pradesh Act 2 of 1915), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a winery by licensees of a winery.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a winery carrying on the working of a winery shall make an application in Form D to the Excise Appellate Authority within ten days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Circle Inspector of Excise shall ensure that stock register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Excise Appellate Authority within ten days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
