STANDING ORDER

All Procurement Officers,

Subject: The sale of lottery tickets by lottery agents under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999 (Gujarat Act 11 of 1999), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sale of lottery tickets by lottery agents.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lottery agent carrying on the sale of lottery tickets shall make an application in Form GFR 21 to the Directorate of Treasuries within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Procurement Officer shall ensure that bill is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Directorate of Treasuries within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Gujarat.
