OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair under the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for a religious fair carrying on the conduct of a religious fair shall make an application in Form A to the Registrar of Societies within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the conduct of a religious fair is undertaken, and the Registrar of Societies shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
