STANDING ORDER

To

All Superintendents of the Home,

Subject: The provision of services to aggrieved persons by service providers under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002 (Tamil Nadu Act 44 of 2002), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the provision of services to aggrieved persons by service providers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every service provider carrying on the provision of services to aggrieved persons shall make an application in Form I to the Committee within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Superintendent of the Home shall ensure that home study report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Committee within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
