OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The storage of explosives by licensees of an explosives magazine under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the storage of explosives by licensees of an explosives magazine is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of an explosives magazine carrying on the storage of explosives shall make an application in Form VIII to the Superintendent of Police within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the storage of explosives is undertaken, and the Superintendent of Police shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
